I first discovered Joanie clothing when my friend Sarah tagged me in an Instagram post of this dress and said it’d be perfect for an upcoming wedding i was going to. That day i spent a good portion of it searching the website, i was hooked!
Following on from this and very kindly of her, Sarah put my name forward to the Joanie team and they invited me to their Christmas event!
The night was amazing and kick started my Christmas spirit weeks earlier than intended! The event was held in Leaf on Portland street Manchester and the food was catered by them. A shout out is needed for their brownies and i will boldly say they are the best in Manchester.
Straight away we are greeted with a sparking cocktail, shown into the room and almost immediately we headed to the gingerbread decoration station hosted by Time for Sweetpea. Considering i completed a degree in Design i can’t decorate to save my life, that is something i will be trying to master over Christmas as we were given recipe cards for the gingerbread and it tasted delicious (i had it for breakfast the next day it was that good haha).
Found at the end of this blog post is a a short video of the event where i pick out my favourite pieces from the range, I’ve sometimes struggled finding brands that suit my body type as i’m top heavy i tend to stick to A line dresses and tights or long tops and leggings. Jumpers only really come out at Christmas time and honestly i didn’t feel the love for clothes shopping like most people do. This event changed all this for me now, the Joanie website has made it onto my favourites bar and i find myself scrolling through almost daily, with a few jumpers bookmarked too!
I hope you enjoy the video, i’m still a newbie with technology but i’ll get there one day 🙂
